Services Offered
- Craniosacral Therapy
- This gentle technique involves light pressure—only 5 grams— to guide bone and fascia back into alignment. This realignment affects the central
nervous system, relieving tension and renewing balance
among all the body's systems. Can be done over clothes.
- Mechanical Link
- This technique works on the principle that pain in the body is often caused by
a dominant lesion. Treat that lesion, and many of the
others melt. A gentle recoil is enough to trigger the
body's own corrective action. It is a very useful adjunct
to other work.
- Anma
- This 3800-year-old Japanese from of massage, the ancestor of shiatsu, uses kneading
motions and no oil. Excellent for deep work and carpal
tunnel relief. Can be done over clothes.
- Guasha
- This Asian technique involves a ceramic spoon pressed along particularly tight
or resistant muscle areas to open up meridians, thereby
releasing tension and freeing trapped energy. Used in
conjunction with theraputic massage. Oil is used.
- Swedish Massage
- This is what people most commonly think of when they think of massage. Using
oil and incorporating various long strokes over all major
muscle groups, deep relaxation is the result.
- Foot Care
- Difficult-to-care-for feet are my specialty. Following a soothing foot soak,
thick nails and calluses are trimmed and filed.
